This is a video on how Narrative Views work in Oracle BI, part of my Oracle BI video tutorial.

As an example, I build a word cloud in Oracle Sales Cloud to highlight opportunities that need attention based on how close they are to their close date and the size of the opportunity.

I exported the file so you can have a look at the report. You can find it here

I know this is not the most easy BI technique to start with, but I promised to make this video a long time ago and had to start this series of with this topic.  It also will show everyone, once you get past the basic techniques, what an amazing and valuable reports can be made using Oracle BI in Sales Cloud or any other applications that uses this reporting tool.  Other applications like:

  • Oracle CRM On Demand
  • Oracle HCM Cloud
  • Oracle ERP Cloud
  • Peoplesoft
  • eBusiness Suite
  • or even custom built applications

This is my first ever video editing attempt, and my first video on youtube.

Let me know how you liked it and if it was usefull!

This saved us a probably painful workaround as we were looking for a way to trigger our js code (put in another narrative on the same dashboard as our analysis) for whenever the analysis finished loading. By simply adding initJavascriptCode() as Postfix.

    Very helpful stuff!
