Instead of just showing fields in one big block, spread over 2 columns on top of the profile screen, we now can make collapsable groups of fields, in up to 3 columns.
This should help us make much more intuitive screens. e.g. the opportunity status information fields grouped togetheras shown in the picture below.
As many field groups as you need can be made like the ‘Opportunity Status Information’ group in the picture below
This also workes in combination with dynamic layouts. You can define specific field groups for each layout you might have
