Engagement Cloud has had auditing functionality since forever. The amount of detailed information captured by the auditing functionality can be enormous. With so much audit data, searching, browsing, and understanding that information is not always the easiest thing to do. That all has changed with 2 great enhancements in Release 19C. First off: In Context Audit.

In Context Audit

This is all about making the auditing information available in the context of the data object record that generated the data. In other words: You look at a data record and the audit data is on a new sidetab, only one click away.

The screenshot below shows how opportunity team members can see how the opportunity has evolved and who made what changes when by checking the new ‘Change History’ sidetab. Ideal when a big team is working on an opportunity together, and to understand who has been changing what.

In Context Audit

This is most likely not information you want to make available to all users. But as usual the availability of the ‘Change History’ sidetab can be managed by configuring dynamic layouts in App Composer.
