Oracle Sales Cloud Release 12I have finally found some time to write down my thoughts and experiences so far with Oracle Sales Cloud release 12 and trust me, there is a lot to discuss!

There are 2 major pieces of functionality that need a proper introduction and a whole set of enhancements that need to be highlighted too.  I will discuss them over the next few weeks but below you can find a list of topics I definitely will be covering.

Engagement Cloud

Oracle Sales Cloud is obviously all about … Sales.  But what do you call Sales Cloud if you add service functionality?  That is what Engagement Cloud is all about.  An entire service offering was added to Sales Cloud !  In this first release, Engagement Cloud adds Service Request management and Knowledge sharing to Sales Cloud, but this is just a start for much more to come!

Enterprise Mobile App

In release 12, Oracle Sales Cloud comes with a complete new mobile app.  The enterprise mobile app combines most of the functionalities that were until release 12 available in different mobile applications (sales cloud mobile, call reports, oracle voice, deal registrations, ..).  Service Request information will be available through the new Enterprise Mobile app also.

The new enterprise mobile app also come with a brand new ‘drag & drop’ mobile app composer!

Other Release 12 Enhancements

Furthermore, Release 12 comes with loads of enhancements and new features

  • User Experience Enhancements
  • New analytics Service infolet pages and multiple new dashboard pages
  • Data Visualization Content Packs for Oracle Sales Cloud
  • Google Calendar, Mail and Contacts integration
  • Mass update functionality
  • Simplified Sales Contracts
  • and much more …
